Why use an IP telephone number?

IP using a single telephone number for multiple staff / agents through multiple customer can talk to. Multiple phone numbers are not required to promote a company.

What is IVR? How does it work?

IVR is Interactive Voice Response. This means that when a caller makes a call, the system automatically receives that number. Then you will hear a voice clip saying "Welcome to such and such a company. Press 1 to know our services, press 2 if there is any complaint, press 3 to know the rules of becoming a new customer, press zero to talk to the agent directly." Then when the caller presses 1 or 3, you can listen to the pre-recorded audio clip. If you press 2, the call will be transferred to the receiving team. Pressing zero will go to Customer Care / Reception. In other words, one or two staff are doing the work of the server. This method is IVR.

If you buy the number, will anyone else be able to use this number?

When you buy the number, you are carrying your own information and national identity card. However, if the connection is not used for 90 days, it will be temporarily terminated and if it is not used for 180 days, it will be permanently closed. So you need to make a few minutes of outgoing calls to any mobile operator every month to keep the connection running.
